I've been coming here for years. Not once have I been disappointed. (Well maybe once or twice by the service, but everyone has their days and it's not a trend here) Order the fajitas Las Lomas, eat what you can, and have the rest for breakfast the next morning. Like margaritas? Order a pitcher (if you're with someone, maybe a glass if you're not) of the Texas Margaritas, and you'll be set.

Damn, its closed. The truck plant down the street shut down, so that must be the reason. What a shame.

Best Mexican food in town by a long shot! On my way there now as a matter of fact. Extreme fajita quesadilla here I come!

Still not sure what happened here, but is now open again. Went there with my nephew and was very happy with my meal, again! Food great, great taste you know its homemade! The only drawback and it its only me, was that the salsa was just not caliente enough for me , not a major complaint thought :)

Came here for a late lunch with my husband and son. We were the only ones in the place. The restaurant is decorated nicely, but has a sort of musty odor. Service was good. We all ordered lunch specials. The taco was large and tasted good, the beans were a bit watery and rice tasted nice. The fillings of the beef burrito and beef enchilada were liquidy. I expected a filling of ground beef and spices, but it was more of a runny sauce with some meat. It tasted ok, but I have had a lot better. Salsa was good and tasted fresh. I probably would not go out of my way to go here again, as there are tons of Mexican restaurants that are closer to my work and where I live. It was fine, though, if this is what is closest to you.

So I was trying to find some amazing BBQ place that you folks rave about but the GPS farted and I decided to stop at La Loma. When I was greeted in Spanish, I thought it might be a good place. When the pasty irish guy responded in Spanish, they must have freaked a bit. I sat at the bar and was promptly asked for my drink order. They have some great specials on domestic draft but I went with Dos Equis. After a bit of chit chat with the friendly bartender, I asked her opinion. Carnitas o Enchiladas? She paused and said both were great but since this was my only time there, I should go with the Carnitas. My dish followed shortly and the smell from the carnitas was amazing. It was complimented with beans and rice and ample cilantro, onion and jalepeño. They have an amazing picante sausa that you need to ask for and I would highly recommend that you do. Great service, authentic mexican and $20 bucks for the dish, large beer and a tip. Dont pass it by.

Seriously good food. Ingredients always taste fresh. No matter what I get there it tastes better than I expect and food comes out quickly. The place is well-kept, the staff is friendly, and the prices are extremely fair. The other popular Mexican restaurants in town pale in comparison.

I'm convinced this is the best, most authentic Mexican restaurant in Fort Wayne - possibly Indiana. A neighbor referred me here and after a hot day at the zoo, my boyfriend and I stopped in. First off, don't let the sketchy surroundings deter you - the inside of the place is adorable with fun-colored tables, chairs, decorations, etc. The man who greeted us - I believe the owner or manager - was extremely nice, and our waiter was equally nice, chatty, amicable without being too in your face about it. They both seemed like just genuinely nice people that wanted you to eat really good food. The tortilla chips and salsa are what you would expect from any high-end Mexican restaurant and luckily for us, never ending. They have a variety of specials and combos to choose from, as well as a great lunch and dinner menu. I had a burrito special that screamed "authentic" and was so delicious I seriously wanted to lick my plate - whatever sauce their using is amazing. And ontop of that - the prices are extremely reasonable, even cheap in my opinion for what they're offering. Nice-sized large portions, delicious food, friendly staff - what more could you ask for?

Las Lomas is hands down my favorite place to eat in fort wayne. Their food is incredible. I personally enjoy the chorizo burrito, but i have never had anything that was nothing short of awesome! The texas margaritas are the best I have had here in fort wayne. And the servers are always friendly, helpful, and informative. All you could want in a restaurant!

This is my favorite Mexican place in town. Great food! Huge margaritas!! Go sit at the bar after you eat. Everyone is super friendly and will converse with anyone who wants to chat.

The day I went the service was absolutely terrible, the restaurant smelled like uranal cakes, and the wrong beer was brought to the table, and the food came cold, and the wait for the food was around an hour. Had it once before and loved it but this is unforgivable

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
